Whistlebinkies

The Whistlebinkies have thrilled audiences around the world with their unique blend of fiddles, flute, smallpipes, harp, concertina and percussion.

Playing selections from their albums for the Claddagh and Greentrax labels, the group is renowned for bringing new pieces into the tradition and has worked with leading musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin and John Cage (their recording of his Scottish Circus has been recently released by New York label Mode Records).

Featuring Rab Wallace (lowland and smallpipes), Eddie McGuire (flute), Karen Marshalsay (harps), Anna Louise Wallace (violin), Mark Hayward (violin), Peter Anderson (drums) and Stuart Eydman (concertina), this is real-deal traditional music played with verve and authority.
