The Ivy House celebrates 13 years of community ownership with a mega Saturday party!Led by Georgie Stott and Joshua Harvey, SUEP have become fixtures of south-east London’s underground through a series of shared living spaces, improvised studios and DIY venues.
Now with George Nicholls (The Tubs, Joanna Gruesome, GN Band), William Deacon (PC World), and Louis Forster (The Goon Sax, Expiry) completing the line up, their debut album, Forever, is out now and is a resplendent joy.Scrounge is Lucy and Luke: guitar, drums, mic, expressing how it feels to be a young person living in a brutal, fast-changing city, constantly balancing the pressures of trying to stay healthy, pay the bills and make art as part of a genuinely inclusive underground scene, all through the medium of their intense, genre-fluid music.Potato play beautifully delicate music which flitters in and out of consciousness, built around whirling melodies and the whispering croon of frontman Bob Corduroy, conjuring up comparisons to Bill Callahan, Tapir! and Kiran Leonard.Eaves Wilder began songwriting around the age of eight harnessing an early obsession with 60’s Motown records, The Beatles and the left-field pop of Lily Allen.
Her inspirations are endless but it was the riot grrl movement that first blew the doors open for her.Jackson Roy explores a world between angst-ridden alt rock and experimental folk, sewn together with electronic textures and ethereal arrangements.Presented by The Ivy House. This is an 18+ event
