Things come full circle for this special tour finale gig in the same church where, as a 10 year old kid, richard first played in public. This is also the venue richard appeared at in june 1986 for the warm up gig for his london debut.A wonderful live music event for acoustic and classical guitar lovers and the musically curious. Featuring Richards original, haunting guitar music including his newly released track 'The Art of Levitation'.Indie-classical composer & concert guitarist Richard Durrantwill also play music from the High Baroque, the English Baroque and (in a fascinating homage to John Renbourn & Bert Jansch) the English Folk Baroque.Durrants intriguingly unpretentious style of delivery should not belie the emotional depth of his music; witness the onstage persona of an informative, friendly stand-up and the playing of one of the worlds most inventive, guitar virtuosos. This concert will be performed on two notable guitars - a Southwell concert guitar made from 5,000 year old English oak and the instrument played by Julian Bream on his debut album. As heard live on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music
(featured by Cerys Matthews, Tom Robinson, Sean Rafferty & Petroc Trelawney)
