The Jazz Club - at Corinium Museum, CirencesterBar and snacks are available! Please let us know if there is anyone booked under a different name that you would like to sit with and if you have a preference of where to sit in the room (first come, first served basis)Standard View Seats - These seats have a good view of the stage and are placed in front of and around the stage in an arc.Tom Berge TrioDelicious phrasing, fresh contemporary feels and more than a hint of old school charm Pianist Tom Berge has it all: hes a man with the sort of effortless pianistic skill that makes you wish youd carried on with those piano lessons; he has an harmonic approach that combines the musculature of Oscar Peterson with a hint of Brad Mehldaus otherworldliness and a robust helping of Monty Alexanders melodic cheekiness - and somehow its always uniquely Mr Berge on the keyboard.
Tom is also a gifted film score composer and a good deal of this extra layer of musicality can be heard in his expansive playing behind the keyboard.
This trio is really very, very entertaining, featuring a repertoire that spans pieces from 1930s to almost the current day presented with humour and a genuine sense of musical excitement.
Paul Jefferies plays bass and Euan Palmer plays drums - a unique partnership of skills and feels.
