Youth Anthems #45Leeds Asylum Seeker's Support Network (LASSN) [https://lassn.org.uk/] provide essential help for refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds by providing support directly from the people of Leeds. They rely on donations and given the absolute nightmare of a situation many parts of the world now find themselves, it seems like the time to give them a chunk of money where we can.100% of the money from this gig will go to LASSN. Tickets will remain at the normal price (5 for over 18, free for under 18s) but you will have the option to donate more for both ticket types and all of this money will go to LASSN. If you can't make it but would like to put money in the pot then you can buy a ticket and then let us know and we'll pass on the ticket to someone being supported by LASSN. Green Day covers! If you saw them at our collaborative gig with Mek Summat last year then you'll know how good they are. You might recognise them as members ofSurface Waves [https://surfacewaves.bandcamp.com/music] or a million other legends of the Leeds music scene but you'll certainly know every classic Green Day song (and some deep cuts!) that they'll be performing. This is looking like their first ever gig! Self-described "Mortgage Rock" with influences from Built To Spill, Jimmy Eat World and Dinosaur Jr, you might recognise them from their other/previous bands such as Cold Summer, Hot Squash, Syslak, Fig By Four or Get Human. You might also recognise one of them from sitting on the door at Youth Anthems or another from illustrating our posters (you can have nepotism when it's for charity right?).
