The concert features Bruckner's narrative 4th Symphony, evoking medieval scenes of hunting parties and woodland beauty through vast soundscapes that bring the legendary Austrian wilderness to life. Self-dubbed 'Romantic', the spirituality of nature is displayed by signature dramatic swells and rich emotional shifts. We precede this with Wagner's stately "Die Meistersinger" Overture, the resplendent introduction to his traditional comic opera.
