The final concert of Amersham Festivals CREATING SPACE season features one of the all-time great British pieces of orchestral music, presented for the first time ever in St Marys in a stunning version for chamber orchestra by George Morton.In seven astronomic movements, composer Gustav Holst musically paints the characters of Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Amersham Festivals celebrated chamber orchestra return, conducted by Artistic Director Chris Hopkins in the atmospheric setting of St Marys.PROGRAMME:
