The light between notes is where some of the most powerful moments happen. Charlie Hooper-Williams is a composer and audiovisual artist combining neoclassical piano music with innovative technology. His performances integrate reactive visuals and generative systems, creating immersive, interactive experiences. Recently, Charlie has been exploring the possibilities of his custom harmonics machine, which expands the expressive range of the acoustic piano. His work bridges music, light, and emergent patterns, with recent highlights including performances at Glastonbury Festival and the Battersea Park Fireworks event.An award-winning concert pianist and former software developer at Shazam, Hooper-Williams brings together music, technology and visual art in a performance unlike a traditional piano recital. Praised as "a highlight of the festival" by SXSW London's Adem Holness, "Genius" by BBC Radio 3's Adam Walton, and "Wonderful" by KEXP, his cinematic music draws on classical, film and jazz influences.
