FRMR unveils Ochre: A Lyrical Ode to Nature and Human ConnectionBelfast-based songwriter and poet Andrew Farmer (FRMR) returns with his second studio album, Ochre, a 9-track exploration of humanity’s relationship with the natural world.

Following his acclaimed 2021 debut Amelanchier -a genre-blurring fusion of folk, spoken word, and electronic textures-Ochre deepens FRMR’s signature sound, weaving elegiac melodies with introspective storytelling.A veteran of Northern Ireland’s vibrant music scene, FRMR has graced stages at Glasgowbury, Open House, and Stendhal, and shared bills with Nathaniel Rateliff, The Staves, and Gemma Hayes.

His new work, Ochre, is both a sonic and thematic evolution: a “post-folk murmuration” that marries organic instrumentation with subtle electronic hues, all while meditating on our place within the earth’s fragile ecosystems.Ochre is a record of quiet urgency.
