Fabio Ferri Trio

Jazz, progressive rock, classical composition and electronic dance culture collide in the music of Bristol-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Fabio Ferri.Known for his high-energy performances, deep grooves, soaring harmonies and richly melodic writing, Fabio combines intricate compositions with moments of improvisational freedom.

His genre-blurring approach has earned him the description “Bristol’s answer to Frank Zappa.”Having previously lived and worked in Exeter, Fabio returns to the city with his trio following the release of his album Transfiguration, its immersive launch show and a subsequent UK tour. His music has received airplay on BBC Radio 3’s ’Round Midnight, where Soweto Kinch praised the way one of his compositions “expands, contracts.”Featuring guitar, bass and drums, the trio brings Fabio’s compositions to life through groove-driven arrangements, adventurous harmonies and spontaneous interplay-balancing musical complexity with energy, humour and a powerful sense of movement. For fans of: Frank Zappa, Tigran Hamasyan, Jaga Jazzist and Snarky Puppy.Presented by 12 Bar Music & Social. This is an 18+ event.Presented by 12 Bar Music & Social. This is an 18+ event
