David Lindo - Urban Birder 20th Anniversary Birdwalk

WWT Vice President David Lindo is celebrating his 20th anniversary as The Urban Birder in 2026.

To mark this occasion, he will be leading a series of FREE bird walks, hosted at WWT sites including WWT Welney on Sat 4 July.Join David for some smiles, tales from concrete jungles and, of course, to learn more about birds!A welcome from the WWT Welney team sets you up for your day birding with David across fantastic wetlands.

Members and non-members of all ages and abilities are welcome.Places are limited to the first 20 applicants so please register online here if Welney is your chosen site.Limited spaces, Booking essential.Refreshments are not included in the walk, but our Wigeon Cafe is open from 9.30am-4.30pm.What would be useful for you to bring: Wear clothing appropriate for the forecasted weather.

Footwear suitable for walking along solid footpaths will be fine.

We would advise preparing with sun protection or appropriate layers, and insect repellent.
