What if the behaviours and responses you have did not start with you? Recent research has suggested that responses to trauma can be inherited and passed down through generations.

Systemic trauma, such as the impacts of racism, war, displacement, and family tragedy, all leave their invisible marks in our DNA and nervous systems.

But what does this mean for us? How does this show up, and what can we do about it?In this talk, Dr Susanna Petche explores the science behind trauma.

She will delve into how its effects can appear in our bodies and behaviours years, even generations later.

She examines how these inherited responses surface in everyday life and discusses what we can do to address them, offering insights into breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma.Speaker Bio:Dr Susanna Petche is redefining trauma care and leading a movement for change.

Founder of Trauma-Sense and creator of the C-Sense methodology, she blends neuroscience, functional medicine, and coaching to address the hidden effects of trauma.

With 25+ years as a GP, she saw how unresolved trauma fuels many health issues, inspiring her to create training and resources for professionals, workplaces, and individuals.

In October 2025, she will deliver a TEDx talk on the importance of acknowledging trauma.
