Home Education: Bayeux Tapestry - Live Broadcast - Ages 7 to 14

You may have heard or seen that theBritish Museum [https://www.britishmuseum.org/exhibitions/bayeux-tapestry] is displaying the Bayeux Tapestry, 10 September 2026 to 1 July 2027.The British Museum is providinga live broadcast [https://www.britishmuseum.org/learn/schools/ages-7-14/live-schools-broadcast-bayeux-tapestry] to schools to coincide with the 960th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. Pontefract Castle has signed up to enable us to share the experience with Home Educating families for free.You will need to book a place for both children and adults to attend. We will have a reserve list in place should we reach capacity.Duration of the broadcast is one hour; we will be opening the Activity Zone doors a little earlier to ensure everyone is ready for the broadcast to start at 10.30am.The British Museum hope this provides a way for learners who can't visit the museum in person to discover more about the tapestry.
