A oneday workshop exploring naturalistic colour mixing, seasonal palettes, and abstract responses to autumns shifting atmosphere.Youll begin with a guided colourmixing session focused on building soft, earthy, ontrend palettes; muted ochres, moss greens, warm neutrals, and the smoky reds that sit between foliage and soil. Well work from gathered autumn references (leaves, seed pods, textures) but translate them into abstracted colour fields, layered marks, and intuitive compositions.
Throughout the day youll explore: Autumn palette building, mixing naturalistic colours without slipping into literal representation. Layering techniques such as glazes, staining, drybrush texture.
Expect a warm, exploratory day where colour leads the painting. Youll leave with a richly layered abstract piece and a personalised palette you can use in future work.
