Community Wellbeing North Herts - BaldockJoin Hazel for a relaxed 90 minute session to create a beautiful unique art piece allowing both beginners and experienced crafters to explore their creative ideas.Hapa Zome is the Japanese art of hammering flowers and leaves transferring the natural pigments to print on to paper or fabric.In this workshop you will create your own unique art arranging flowers and leaves on paper or fabric while pounding them with small hammers to transfer the colours and shapes.

Most of the flowers will be home grown from the garden and allotment.

You will also learn about the types of plants to grow for natural dye colours.This workshop is suitable for adults and young people - we do not set a minimum age as maturity levels differ but ask that all young people attend with a paying adult and suggest 13/14 years + as a minimum age for customers to consider.All materials will be provided but it would be lovely to bring along any leaves or flowers from your own garden to experiment with.Free refreshments provided.
