J S Bach's Six Suites for Unaccompanied Cello (BWV 1007-1012 are among the most profound and freqently performed solo compositions in classical music. Written around 1720 during his time in Kothen, the suites explore the full melodic, harmonic and emotional depth of the solo cello.Andrew will play No 1 in G major BWV 1007, No 2 in D minor BWV 1008 and No 3 in C major BWV 1009.
