Making Art Together

An action-packed day of arts events hosted by Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, organised and run by volunteers from charities which support prisoners and ex-prisoners (London Prisons Mission, 2Makeit, Change for Good and Fine Cell Work).We invite you to explore Bloomsbury's unique character & history with us through our exciting and varied programme for the day, featuring:Exhibition of Artwork:
By people with experience within the prison system - and those who support them.Drop-in Arts Workshops: 11.15 am - 1.30 pm and 2.15 pm - 4.00 pm
Come along & join us in making art together. We're running the following workshops:KintsugiKintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold, highlighting cracks rather than hiding them.
In this workshop we'll explore this process, but using paper and gold leaf, whilst also reflecting on what this might mean for each of us.

Come along and try your hand at making art with an experienced artist & workshop leader.

Throughout the day, we'll be running circular guided walks of the local area, starting and ending at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.
Places are limited, so we urge you to book ahead.

Join us for drinks and the opportunity to celebrate the diversity and talent on display from the exhibition & workshops.Concert & Poetry Readings: 6.30 - 7.30 pm
Our programme is brought to a close with music & poetry, showcasing specially created work from wonderfully talented people - come along and enjoy.
