Oban International Shanty Festival 2026 Friday Concert

The first concert in a weekend of songs, stories and music of the seas from the cream of shanty singing featuring: the divine harmonies of quintet All@Sea, great musicians and a good laugh, Morgans Men, the lovely harmonies of Sea Swallow,Mr Bones himself, Hans Weehuizen, and the queens of the high Cs, The Salty Scrimshaws.
Look out over the weekend, for America's: My Druthers, England's: The Mizzen Crew, Scotlland's: Dunblane Shanty Crew, The Sea Word, Voicemale and Vocabelles, and from The Netherlands: Hans 'Mr Bones' Weehuizen and from Argyll itself, The Disclaimers, Seil Sound andThe Oban Ukulele Band. And The Salty Scrimshawswill be presenting Shanties for Wee Sailors while Hans Weehuizen will be hosting one of his now famous 'bones' workshops..
All happening in lovely Oban, gateway to the Isles, in the West Highlands of Scotland.
