Upon a Winters Night brings together festive music from many traditions and centuries. Medieval carols and familiar Christmas melodies sit alongside baroque masterpieces and contemporary meditations, creating a programme rich in atmosphere and contrast.Debussys Footprints in the Snow and Bachs Prelude offer moments of quiet winter stillness, while Corellis Christmas Concerto brings
warmth and seasonal brilliance. Traditional songs and wassails mingle with folk-inspired improvisations and original compositions, weaving together old and new in a gathering that captures the spirit, mystery and quiet joy of the season.This concert has no interval and will finish approximately 8.30pm.
