Leaving Belfast in 1964, Jackiewith the iconic R&B band Them, and Rodwith the cult Garage bandThe Wheels, they followed their separate careers for the next six decades.They worked with Van Morrison, Lonnie Donegan, Screaming Lord Sutch, Gene Vincent, The Yardbirds, Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal, Doctor John, Johnny Winter, The Incredible String Band, The Strawbs, David Essex, The Real Thing, Henry McCullough, Mud Morganfield, Snooky Prior, Viv Stanshall, Louisianna Red, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Ruby Turner, Marvin Rainwater,Rick Wakeman and countless others.Jackie has written songs for Status Quo, Lonnie Donegan, recorded a dozen solo albums. His music has been used in Hollywood movies Humble Pie and Stranger Things.
Rod has provided songs for The Hollies, The Yardbirds andThe Strawbs.Jackies memoir I Sideman and Rods e-book My Gap Life tell the history of Skiffle, Rock and Roll, Folk, Blues and Pop Music.
They put on an entertaining show with anecdotes of growing up on opposite sides of Belfast to years spent working in the Music Business.
