Steel Magnolias - Arcade Players

"I have a strict philosophy that I have stuck to for fifteen years.

There is no such thing as natural beauty"Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling, is set in 1987 in north-west Louisiana, at Truvy's Beauty Spot. All the ladies who are "anybody" in Chinquapin, Louisiana, gather at Truvy's salon to have their hair done, catch up on local gossip, and share the ups and downs of their lives. With the help of her eager new assistant, Annelle, Truvy is always ready with a shampoo, a warm smile, and plenty of free advice.

Among her regular clients are the outspoken and sharp-tongued Ouiser, the eccentric millionaire Miss Clairee, who has an irresistible sweet tooth, and M'Lynn, one of the town's leading ladies.

M'Lynn's daughter, Shelby-the prettiest girl in town-is preparing to marry a charming "good ole boy."Filled with witty repartee, hilarious exchanges, and more than a few acerbic verbal clashes, the comedy takes a poignant turn in the second act when spirited young Shelby risks her life to pursue a dangerous pregnancy. As the women are confronted with the harsh reality of mortality, they come together to support one another, discovering strength, resilience, and love in the face of tragedy.Steel Magnolias beautifully balances humour and warmth with genuine emotional depth, celebrating the enduring bonds of friendship and the extraordinary strength that can emerge from adversity.Join us as we follow the lives of these wonderful women, sharing in their laughter, their tears, and their remarkable ability to find strength, love, and hope-even in the most difficult of times.
