The Key to the Castle: Storytelling and Spooky Fun

Unlock the power of stories and create magical memories together at our special Family Learning Festival event!
Step into a spooky castle adventure as families listen to and join in with This Is the Key to the Castle by Dave Calder. Through rhythm, repetition, actions and imagination, children and grown-ups will discover how stories can bring people together, spark creativity and build confidence. This year's Story Power theme celebrates the way stories open doors to learning, laughter and shared experiences, making this the perfect opportunity to enjoy storytelling side by side with your child.
After the story, let your creativity shine as you design and make a spooky treasure chest complete with a surprise pop-up Halloween character hidden inside. Whether it's a friendly ghost, cheeky pumpkin or creepy creature, you'll work together to create a unique keepsake to take home.
This fun, hands-on session encourages families to share stories, learn together and enjoy quality time through reading, crafting and imagination. Join in with your child, discover the power of stories and create something spooktacular together! Two sessions available:10:30 to 12:00
