Buckinghamshire Local History Network Blhn 2026

Buckinghamshire's 2026 One-Day Conference and Local History Fair will be at a new venue - the National film and Television School in Beaconsfield, and one week earlier than usual, on Saturday 26th September. This year's theme is:
Political change in Buckinghamshire - from civil war to the suffragettes. The talks and speakers will be:The English Civil War in Buckinghamshire - Ian Beckett
Opposing the county's Rotten Boroughs - Julian Hunt
Bribery and corruption at the 1802 Aylesbury election - Tony Sergeant
The untold story of the Great Pilgrimage and votes for women - Jane Robinson.There will be ample time to browse the stands and displays in the local history fair. Tea/coffee provided and tickets available with or without buffet lunch.
