We run an RZ370 RISOgraph printer. It uses soya-based inks to print at A4 and A3. We use post-consumer waste and recycled papers. Our printing sessions are ideal for artists, designers, activists and hipsters. We will support you to create a series of 50 printed Protest Posters, with up to four colours, we currently have Pink, Light Blue, Yellow and Black inks.
We will introduce you to the RISO process - it is similar to screen printing and photocopying, all in one machine! We recommend checking (ok, Googling!) what RISO prints look like and what the process is capable of.
We'll also talk about the history of protest posters and the legalities of fly-posting.You will want to bring along some materials to make your Protest Posters. These could be photographs, drawings, pieces of text, existing artworks, etc. Bring them as hard copies/ print outs, not as digital files, please.
We will also provide: magazines, book type and other collage materials, a light box, scissors, glue and pens.
