RopePlay / BodyWorkUsing the medium of rope and somatics to develop connection and understand body language.
Rope should expand beyond the technical and be fully experienced through the body in order for playtime to have depth and intimacy.
Within this workshop well dive deep into somatic practices as a way of exploring boundaries and opening our ability to communicate. Well look into reading body language and understanding body movement to create meaningful experiences that arent driven by creating aesthetically focused shapes, but allow full presence with those we share space with.Attending solo is welcomed, however being partnered isn't guaranteed. Practice adaptations will be offered to those who prefer to practice by themselves. All abilities welcome.Kylie is a Deaf, neuroqueer somatic movement facilitator, rope practitioner and performance artist. She aims to provide spaces that feel calm yet playful so folk can feel brave enough to step into. No racism, transphobia, classism, ableism, sexism, homophobia or any other hate speech will be tolerated.21+
