22 Tuesdays Company Presents: Almost, Maine by John Cariani

Almost, Maine
By John CarianiOn a cold and enchanted winter night, the people of the town of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected ways. Relationships end, begin, or change as strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers turn into strangers. Propelled by the mystical energy of the aurora borealis and populated with characters who are humorous, plain-spoken, thoughtful, and sincere, John Cariani's Almost, Maine is a series of loosely connected tales about love and longing, each with a compelling couple, and each with its own touch of magic.22 Tuesday Company brings this beloved play to life for their debut production.22 Tuesdays:
Born out of the farewell drinks of a beginners acting class, 22 Tuesdays Company is aptly the result of answering 'yes, and' to the suggestion: "We should put on a play!"We are a group of friends and amateur actors who met up once a week to put on a play, to continue learning, and to have an excuse to keep hanging out.Our portrayal of Almost Maine is the product of the 22 Tuesdays we gave ourselves to muddle and meander through what is many of the company's first time on stage. Based on the fun it has been, it is unlikely to be our last. The Rosemary Branch Theatre, 2 Shepperton Rd, London N1 3DT
