About

Shakespeares darkest tragedy is reimagined in the brutal world of organised crime.

Shakespeares darkest tragedy is reimagined in the brutal world of organised crime.

When a loyal mob lieutenant is tempted by prophecy and driven by ambition, he and his wife begin a deadly rise to power that sparks paranoia, betrayal, and bloodshed.

Macbeth becomes a gripping mafia thriller where loyalty is fragile, power is everything, and violence comes at a terrible cost. While our production follows Shakespeares script, the mobster setting exposes the classic themes in a novel way while still managing to be true to the original.

Duncan is still a king, though his throne lies behind a desk and his lords and nobles are the violent denizens of the criminal underworld.

The Witches prophecy is no work of magic, but simply an appeal to Macbeths fundamental desire for wealth and power.

This production will be like no other, and yet those who adore the original plays themes and message will not find themselves disappointed.
