Marble Pattern Christmas Decorations Workshop

Craft your own Christmas Decorations using Jesmonite AC100 - an eco-friendly, solvent-free & water-based alternative to resin, used for casting various homewares and decorative objects.In this 2.5 hour workshop I’ll introduce you to Jesmonite AC100 and it’s various uses, and show you how to use it to create your own Christmas decorations to take home and hang on your Christmas tree! For this workshop I will be teaching you the technique of marbling to produce a set of decorations with beautiful, marble-like patterns.During this workshop I will show you:How to mix and pigment Jesmonite AC100 with your own choice of coloursHow to pour and cast Jesmonite AC100 using silicone mouldsHow to make a set of 4x Christmas decorations using a marbling techniqueHow to safely demould your creationsTips for how to finish your pieces to give a more professional lookHow to seal your pieces to protect them against general wear and tearThis workshop is aimed at beginners so no previous experience working with Jesmonite is necessary. You will start with a smaller mould to make a practice piece before moving on to your finished piece.
All materials and equipment needed for the activity is provided.Jesmonite needs to be sealed to protect from wear and tear so each attendee is provided with a kit at the end of the workshop containing acrylic sealer and a cloth to take home and apply to their pieces following the workshop. You will also be provided with decorative string to tie to your decorations ready to hang on your Christmas tree!
