Development Matters - Messy Hubs

Development Matters: Messy Hubs is a fun, interactive messy play group designed for children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents or carers. The sessions provide a variety of sensory-rich and exploratory play experiences that encourage children to investigate, create, problem solve, and develop their early communication, physical, social, and emotional skills.
Messy play offers valuable opportunities for children to explore different textures, materials, and experiences in a safe and stimulating environment. Activities are designed to support learning through play while promoting curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate alongside their children, helping to strengthen relationships and gain ideas for supporting learning and development at home.
The sessions also provide opportunities for families to meet others in their local community, build social connections, and access support and information from Family Hub staff. As activities can be wonderfully messy, suitable clothing is recommended for both children and adults.Development Matters: Messy Hubs takes place on Monday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am, from 7th September until 14th December 2026, offering a welcoming space where children can learn, play, explore, and thrive. No need to book, just turn up!
