Alibi and Anthos Arts are excited to launch a brand-new Drama group for Home Educated children ages 9-11! The group gives children the opportunity to build confidence, make friends, and explore their creativity through drama, while teaching the fundamentals of theatre and performance including acting, improvisation, storytelling, puppetry and physical theatre. Each term we will look at a different theme or story, which will culminate in a performance for family and friends on the final week. For our debut term, we shall be creating a performance called Tales from the Forest, creating scenes, both scripted and devised, which explore different woodland characters and their adventures through the forest. The sessions will focus on:- Confidence building
- Teamwork and communication
- Imagination and creativity
- Movement, voice, and character work
- Puppetry
- Physical theatre skills
- Lots of fun drama games and activitiesOur Home-Ed group is the perfect place for creative young people who love to perform, or who would like to give it a go for the first time; no experience needed! This is a fantastic opportunity for children to socialise, express themselves, and develop new skills in a supportive and friendly environment. This event is taking place in the studio, which is accessed via a flight of stairs. Please contact access@theatrealibi.co.uk if you have any questions about access.Anthos ArtsSessions will be run by Jake and Issy from Anthos Arts.Anthos Arts are an Exeter based company who have been delivering Drama classes for over ten years to children and young people ages 6-18, including the popular Alibi Summer School.
