Engage your Rage with Sharon Gale from Hot Flush Saturday 17th October 2pm-4pm Foyer Free - donations welcomedThe Menopause Rewrite - Taking back the story, one page at a time.A creative collage and mixed-media workshop inspired by Tom Phillips A Humument, exploring identity, change and transformation through the menopause journey.Join artist & founder of Hot Flush Sharon Gale & create your own Menopause Humument.Also available - fashion accessories swop & 60s/70s/80s Silent DiscoFor generations, women have been handed stories about ageing, hormones, bodies and identity that often dont reflect our lived experiences. The menopause can feel like a chapter written by someone else, full of myths, misunderstandings and missing information.This workshop invites participants to select a page from an old book and transform it into something entirely new. Inspired by Tom Phillips A Humument, participants will use the existing words on the page as a starting point, revealing hidden messages, creating new meanings and exploring personal truths through collage, imagery, drawing and mark-making. Each person will create their own Menopause Humument, a unique visual story reflecting their experiences, thoughts and feelings around menopause and midlife transformation.Sharon writes "Through this Hot Flush blog, I hope to share supportive, creative, and practical resources for people experiencing menopause, especially here in North Devon and Torridge, where support can sometimes feel harder to find. Im passionate about building conversations, sharing knowledge, and finding ways to navigate menopause with creativity, connection, and confidence.
