Summer Holiday Family Activities: Sensory Session

We are running Sensory Sessions on Wednesday afternoons, 1pm-3pm throughout the Summer Holidays as part of our Family Activities.These are lower stimulation sessions for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including neurodivergent children – and their families.

These sessions are for families who feel this environment would be suited to them, with a diagnosis or not.These sessions will include:- Reduced visitor numbers- Limited drop-in spaces available- Time with our P&L Facilitators to explore the activities together- Lower Sound levels & Subdued Lighting- Additional rest spaces for regulation and downtimeIf there are additional requirements to support your access or engagement with this session please feel free to email info@nottinghamcontemporary.org or call 0115 948 9750.Come along to create, play and explore in our large, welcoming space this Summer! Inspired by our new exhibition Chico da Silva: And the soul is for the birds, step into a world of imagination and create your own colourful creatures and wonderful landscapes.Our fantastic Play & Learn Facilitators will be on hand to guide you through the activities, with plenty of ways for you to explore and have fun! As always, we’ll have relaxed areas set up with sensory toys and books to enjoy together.The workshops are drop-in; however, we invite you to book a space for your session as spaces are limited.The sensory sessions take place on Wednesday 29 Jul, 5 Aug, 12 Aug & 19 Aug, 1pm-3pm.We also have Family Activities on Tue, Wed, Thu 10am-12pm and Tue & Thu 1pm-3pm.Book one ticket per person, including adults & children.If you are unable to make it on the day, please cancel your tickets through eventbrite.
