Misfits Together

Marilyn.

Miller.

And the myth of America.1950’s America.

In an industry built on status, politics and power, Hollywood sees Marilyn Monroe as a star they can control.

Arthur Miller sees a true artist.Love brings these two titans of stage and screen together, and they back each other as they struggle for artistic integrity, and fight for political justice.MISFITS TOGETHER celebrates Marilyn as a trailblazer establishing new rules for the way Hollywood treats their stars, re-writing her own narrative and paving the way for a sexual revolution.MISFITS TOGETHER honours Arthur as he puts his career on the line, refuses to denounce his colleagues and proves himself the moral compass of a nation.

But through all these huge events, ultimately they were two people trying to navigate love, work and life’s very human problems.Artistic Director Nikolai Foster (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, KINKY BOOTS) directs this new Made at Curve musical, with book by BBC Drama Award nominee Charlotte Bogard Macleod, and a sweeping rock score by Bastille’s Dan Smith and To Kill a King’s Ralph Pelleymounter. This is Marilyn and Miller’s story told for today. It’s a rally cry for truth, integrity and self-belief.And it’s dedicated to misfits everywhere.Age guidance: 14+Running time: Approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes (including an interval)Show warning: Strong language15% off for Loyalty Pass Holders and Supporters Scheme2-4-1 tickets for Supporters on Wed 8 Sep 2027, 7pm and Thu 9 Sep 2027, 7pmPlease note: Infant tickets are not permitted for any performances of MISFITS TOGETHER.Access performancesCaptioned: Tue 21 Sep 2027, 7.15pmCaptioned and Relaxed: Sat 2 Oct 2027, 2pmAudio Described: Sat 25 Sep 2027, 2pm with Touch Tour from 12.30pmBritish Sign Language (BSL) Interpreted: Thu 30 Sep 2027, 7.15pmFor more information about our Access Performances, please click here.
