The MK Hip Hop Project: Documentary Film Premiere

Join Living Archive MK as we screen our latest documentary that tells the story of the hip hop scene in Milton Keynes, from its earliest days in the 1980s to the present.

Our friends from Break To The Beat will be DJIng too so come and join the party!For the last year we've been running a major new Arts Council-funded project, shining a spotlight on Milton Keyness rich Hip Hop scene.

In partnership with the OUs OpenLearn, MTUS Dance, MK City Council, Break To The Beat and others, we are celebrating the past, present and future of local Hip Hop, through the voices, moves and creativity of the people who shaped it.In May 2026, we released a limited edition vinyl compilation album, Under The Grid, featuring MK Hip Hop music spanning nearly four decades.
