North Wales Opera returns to its Shrewsbury ‘home’ to present Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Anne Williams-King (Director of North Wales Opera) travelled the globe singing the title role in this opera to great acclaim and has directed a beautifully traditional portrayal of this opera. It takes a heart of stone not to be moved by the great tragedy of this story, which is so enriched by the composition. Everyone will have heard the humming chorus and the “Un bel di” (One fine day).
