Handel’s Messiah is nothing short of a powerfully operatic experience in its telling the story of the life of Christ.

Soloists narrate the musical drama with profound emotion, while the choir’s role is akin to a Greek chorus, jumping from anguished mourning to dramatic rage, absolute cruelty and of course, uplifting the listener with the triumphant shout of joy that is the Hallelujah! Chorus.
