Born in 1955, Heather lived with her family in Holly Bush Street, Cradley Heath on the premises of the family cooperage.

In the late sixties, the close-knit community was broken up when it was announced that Holly Bush Street would soon be demolished.

Heathers book is packed with fond memories of the street and the people who lived there, and celebrates the Black Country dialects Heather absorbed in the places she and her family lived Cradley Heath, Rowley Regis, Dudley Wood, Tipton, Lower Gornal and Oldbury. This warm, heartfelt collection will delight lovers of the Black Country and its wonderful dialect.Liz Berry poet
