Tees Valley International Film Festival brings you the Gala Premiere of ‘Headkandy: Beyond the Chair’ an upcoming series that gives a deep dive into the lives of the people behind the super-successful Teesside salon. We follow Janine and John on their journey to success, getting up close and personal with the people who make Headkandy what it is – Emma, Jake, Tom, Lucy and Albo, to name just a few.Along the way, they share their bright, colourful and wonderful personalities, giving us a glimpse into the real people behind the social media presence.

But what really goes on behind the chair? We discover the treatments, the culture and, most importantly, why people choose Headkandy.

Is Headkandy really everything social media makes it out to be? Are these people genuinely this fabulous? Or is there more going on behind the scenes? Are we finally seeing the real them? One thing’s for sure — this is Headkandy like you’ve never seen it before.A post-screening Q&A will also take place.Produced by Smoggie BloomDirected by Carl Wilson-Downie & Shaun Robinson
