Supported by award winning artist, tutor and maker, Liz Wellby, youll spend a relaxing afternoon creating a number of beautiful paper sculptures, before enjoying a delicious cream tea in The Fountain Restaurant.Create beautiful paper sculpturesUsing a deceptively simple process, you will learn how to make your own templates and create a cornucopia of hanging and free standing paper sculptures, including hearts, fruits and trees, created from vintage papers and old books. Your pieces will surely take pride of place in your home and be admired by many.This workshop will suit folks with experience of different creative processes and absolute beginners.About the tutor:
Liz Wellby is a versatile and experienced artist, with a particular interest in sculpture and printmaking. Following the completion of a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough University and subsequent post graduate studies, she returned to Derbyshire, where for over 30 years, she has lived and worked. Liz runs very well received creative workshops from her home studio - The Slipper Studio, on the edge of the Peak District and across the East Midlands, for museums, galleries, schools and Arts societies.Time for your delicious tea in The Fountain Restaurant.At the end of your creative workshop youll be able to sink into a comfortable chair or sofa and enjoy a delicious cream tea, with a choice of tea or coffee.Date/time: Sunday 20th September, 1.30 to 5pm
