Carols at the Mansion - With the Writtle Singers

We are delighted that the very popular Writtle Singers, with their musical director Christine Gwynn, return once again as part of our season of Carol Concerts at Copped Hall.Writtle Singers is a chamber choir based at All Saints Church, Writtle, near to Chelmsford. They sing a very wide variety of repertoire and enjoy performing in a variety of contexts. 2026 has seen them tour to Vienna and, by invitation, sing Sunday services at Chelmsford Cathedral as well as their regular concerts. They look forward to returning to Copped Hall as the year draws to a close.
These concerts are adult-focused and not suitable for children under 5 years. For the consideration of the audience, we cannot recommend the very young to attend.
Non-alcoholic mulled punch is served on arrival. Our Licenced Bar will be available. Seasonal refreshments, including mince pies and tea and coffee, will be served during the interval. Our popular Raffle will be held and the Copped Hall shop will be open for Christmas cards, and many other last-minute Christmas presents.These concerts are extremely popular and early booking is essential.The concert will be held in the South Room on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and is therefore suitable for wheelchair users. Please contact the Box Office however if you have any mobility issues so that we can made the appropriate arrangements.
