Macram Festive Decorations Workshop

A special festive decoration workshop that focuses on the ancient art of Macram.In this workshop we will be making a few festive projects.
There will be a choice of projects including:- mini gift bags with Macram decoration- gift tags with Macram decoration- tree hangings including festive bows n berries- snowflake wall hanging- Santa gonk.This relaxed and friendly workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking for their next textile art project. The workshop will start at 1pm, but attendees are more than welcome to leave at any time. Some of the projects are quick and others involve more intricate knotting. Projects will be chosen on the day depending on group size and abilities.Under the guidance of Lucy, youll be shown how to create festive projects to keep or gift. Lucy from Hearts and Pearls is a self-taught Macram artist based in Falmouth. Grown from a hobby, her business specialises in propagating rare trailing semi-succulent plants, including the popular String of Hearts and Pearls, and through this, she first explored making decorative plant hangers from Macram yarn. Having experimented with various projects over the years, she now runs Macram workshops in the local area. She designs tutorials for others to learn the basics of this historic art form which are available online in Etsy.
