Friday Night Jazz in Tyddewi IS BACK! Join us for a relaxed Summers evening of world-class live jazz in the beautiful surroundings of the St Davids Cathedral Refectory.We are excited to not only be welcoming back the outstanding Dan Messore Standards Trio but this time with a special guest, one of UKs finest saxophonists - Jake McMurchie - to play the music of Duke Ellington.Jake McMurchie (Get The Blessing, Jazz Defenders) is one of the UKs leading improvisers, he has performed with Bobby Shew, Pee Wee Ellis, Portishead, Massive Attack, and Super Furry Animals to name a few. He was awarded the BBC Jazz Awards Album of the year in 2008 (for Get the Blessings debut album), has been championed by BBC Radio 3 and London Evening Standard. Described as a sensual tone falling somewhere between early Sonny Rollins and Pink-Panther tenorist Plas Johnson.The trio features:

The bar will offer a mix curated of Welsh beers, wines and spirits, alongside hot and cold soft drinks, nibbles, and snacks.Following the success and popularity of our Welsh sharing platters at previous events, you can once again enjoy a selection of small bites, including cured meats, cheeses and olives.
