Hms Pinafore

Following on from the sell-out successes of the last four years, with Pirates of Penzance, Iolanthe, The Mikado and The Sorcerer, GASP! are delighted to bring you HMS Pinafore, one of Gilbert and Sullivan's best known comic operas.

Josephine is to marry Sir Joseph Porter, the 'ruler of the Queen's Navy, as befits her social status (according to her father, Captain of the good ship HMS Pinafore.

But she is the object of the affections of Ralph Rackstraw, a humble sailor.... and he stands no chance of gaining her love - or does he? And will Sir Joseph's attempt to convince Josephine that she is the right person for him have the desired result? (of course not - this is G&S!).

Of course, there has to be a secret that overturns everything the characters believed was true - and Little Buttercup may have the answer....It's another great mix of humour and fantastic musical entertainment, delivered to you by the group who won the IW Theatre's 'Best Music and Singing' Award 2025 for The Mikado - and you can't get better than that!
