Tom Ripley (Delon) is hired to bring rich friend Philippe Greenleaf (Ronet) home from an extended vacation in Italy, but instead hatches a plan to murder Greenleaf and take his identity. Delon's impossibly good looks and ice-cold performance made him a star, and despite a tacked-on ending, it's a masterpiece.
