Malcolm Strachan Sextet

Scottish trumpeter Malcolm Strachan is a composer and bandleader shaped by more than two decades at the heart of the UK jazz, funk and soul scene.

His recent release, Look On The Bright Side, moves effortlessly between soul-jazz, Latin grooves and Afrobeat textures, all grounded in the rich, cinematic sound world of 1970s jazz.

He leads a band brimming with talent with Mathew Kilner (saxophone), Paul Harrison (piano) and David Bowden (double bass) joining him for this performance.
