Based in Leeds, Plantfood are a six-piece collective, drawing from jazz, electronic music, punk and club culture, creating immersive, high-energy performances that move between intense rhythmic sections and more spacious, reflective moments. Rooted in the UK jazz scene, their sound blends acoustic and electronic elements and has seen them appear at major UK festivals and receive widespread radio support.
Onwards Festival is a roaming musical spectacular taking place across the Colne Valley, celebrating a programme of grassroots music in multiple venues throughout the area. Plantfood will headline at Marsden Mechanics, but keep your eye out for other acts being announced in the months ahead.
