Those who are familiar with Kaprekar's Constant will already be aware of Dorie Jackson's beautiful voice.

Dorie has worked as a backing singer for much of her career (Robert Plant, Marti Pellow, Chris Difford, etc) but has now stepped forward to front her own live band, co-writing fresh, new music and appearing at prestigious venues worldwide.

Recent live shows include Cromer's Folk on the Pier, St Edith Folk, Summer's End Festival, Fusion Festival and many more.Dorie's 4 piece acoustic band features the formidable talents of former Van der Graaf Generator member David Jackson (Flute, whistles, saxes - who has also performed with numerous other noted musicians, including a long-term collaboration with Peter Hammill), composer, producer, recording engineer and former member of The Blessing, Mike Westergaard (Piano, Guitar, Backing Vocals), Danny Dunnery (Guitar, Backing Vocals) and Nick Jefferson - (Acoustic Bass Guitar).Dorie's live shows are almost entirely acoustic.

An evening is a relaxed, inclusive experience; no egos, no showboating, just great songs played by world class musicians.She has made two solo albums, the most recent of which "Stupid Says Run" was released on the Talking Elephant label in 2025 and was surely one of the albums of that year.
