The people of Finland regularly come at the top of polls as among the happiest folk on the planet. And this is despite the aggression of their neighbour, Russia, with whom they share a long land border. Finland excels in education, its child poverty level is 3.7% (Scotland's is 22%). As Lesley Riddoch says - " Its way of life is more equal, digital, cooperative, and relaxed than almost anywhere else on earth".
