It’s that time of year again: David Byrne’s Night is back, the world’s first and only genre-defying celebration of two Scottish icons, Robert Burns and David Byrne (born in Dumbarton, look it up!).What began as a yearly sell-out at Hackney’s MOTH Club has grown into one of London’s most talked-about nights, with stops at Green Man, Wide Awake and Rough Trade East along the way. 2026 saw Byrne’s Night sell out KOKO before taking to the Latitude Festival stage immediately after David Byrne himself, as well as making its international debut at Ireland’s All Together Now Festival.Now, our Once In A Lifetime Night takes over East London’s iconic Troxy on 23rd January 2027.Join some of London’s finest musicians for a night of David Byrne / Talking Heads / adjacent covers and a proper Burns Night celebration honouring Scotland’s national bard and one of its most inventive musical exports.Hosted by North London drag royalty Ash Kenazi, and soundtracked by rotating house bands featuring members of:1000 Rabbits, Butch Kassidy, Ebbb, English Teacher, Goat Girl, Hank, Happyness, Human Interest, Imogen And The Knife, Jonique, Marsy, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, Max Winter, Moreish Idols, Pearl2, Platonica Erotica, Skiving, The Golden Dregs, The Horrors, The Ninth Wave, The Orchestra (For Now), The Pogues, The Wheel 2!, Thredd, Tooth, Truthpaste, Ziplock, and more very special guests + surprises to be revealed.Presented by David Byrne's Night.This is an 14+ event
