2PM - 3PMJoin author Joanna Lilley for a portrait in words of the late artist Rebecca Lilley who grew up on Dartmoors edges. As well as presenting her sister Rebeccas art in words, Joannas poems delve into topics such as single motherhood, neurodiversity, connecting with art and nature and how to find a way through losing a loved one too soon.Joanna joins us all the way from the Yukon in Canada where shes been living for the last 20 years after emigrating from Britain. She loves sharing the joy of words and showing that poetry doesnt have to be intimidating. In fact, poetry gets right to the heart of the matter and can help us through all sorts of situations.If youre tempted to try out writing poetry for yourself, you can also join Joannas workshop on the morning of 16 May. No experience is necessary and everyones welcome.
